This past weekend, we went for a trial run at a nearby beach.
V enjoyed collecting rocks and shells and throwing them into the water. Happy times.
We have also been reading At the Beach lately. I took the book out of the library in anticipation of our upcoming trip to North Carolina. Sometimes reading a book five times in a row gets old, so I put together this activity bag to go with the book.
Inside the tote is a beach towel, a tube of sunscreen, a play sandwich and apple from our collection of wooden food, a thermos of water, and a bucket of seashells. All the the items were found around the house. I rolled out the towel, and introduced each item as it comes up in the story. V enjoyed playing with the tube of sunscreen the most.
Summer vacation
