For the month of May, I put together a very short place value block based on You Know What Mama’s story. One night, I drew out on a large sheet of paper…

and the Hundreds Palace…
We colored the scroll together and drew in little details.
The next day, we drew a smaller version of the picture and used my homemade Montessori math beads.
We also used the app “Up to 100” on our iPad to help visualize the tens and ones places.
