Where is my little toddler? The one who always wanted to sit on the bench and eat snacks while other kids played?
The one who always wanted to hold my hand going down the slide until she was three.
If I had known how brave she would grow on her own…
I would have fretted less, cajoled less, pushed her less.
Maybe I would have packed more snacks.
Now if you’ll excuse us. It’s snacktime.
She is able to be brave because she has parents who give her a safe place to gather her courage. well done V!
